The brand was born in 1953 when Mr. and Mrs.
Clayeux started designing colorful baby clothes in Burgundy, France.
In 1957, Princess Grace Kelly presented her first daughter, Caroline,
to the world. The baby was wearing a yellow suit, which was a daring
color at the time! It was the beginning of Clayeux's fame, a brand
name of children's fashion. Specializing in knitwear and colorful
soft cottons, Clayeux has become the French "couturier" for
children.
